The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu Land

This is a blog about me so I can put a link on my twitter page.

In 1991 I was experiencing headaches on an unbelievable scale which according to my GP was just migraines.

I told my GP he was wrong but he refused to accept it and in 1992 at the age of 25 I was rushed into hospital where it turned out that my so-called migraine attacks were actually pains relating to a brain tumour which was then operated on and removed. (or so I believed)

In 1998 after similar 'migraines' I found out that the tumour was not removed, due to the location, 'regretably' it had grown back and that I would now need a 2nd operation to remove it.

Unfortunately although life was normal after my first op, the second caused a lot of problems which resulted in me having to finish work in 2001.

I had been working for the Royal Mail for 17 years in various departments. The last being QA which, without blowing my own trumpet, I was very good at.

For a number of years I could do little if anything and that coupled to the only having the one job since leaving school scenario left little options other than unpaid voluntary work which I was delighted to do instead of sitting in the house moping for the wonderful charity Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.

Sadly I left Make-A-Wish when their new chief executive took control and I disagreed with his way forward and since that time have been concentrating on education.

I am now in the process of looking for work. Ideally using the skills I obtained while working for the Royal Mail's QA section or in the charity sector using the skills obtained when with Make-A-Wish.

Poor qualifications, dyslexia(only diagnosed after finishing work and making cock-ups while studying), no job skills apart from those gained within the Royal Mail, health issues and my own worst enemy my outspoken opinion when I see things going wrong is closing almost every door which makes me feel at times that I may as well be living in Mu Mu Land and that's the reason for the name of this blog.

In my 'spare time' and health permitting I campaign against the biggest blight on our communities which is anti-social behaviour and demand of those who allegedly represent us that they fulfil the commitments they make in our Community Safety Strategies.

They have been around since there introduction as part of the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act and the simple facts are that if the tools in this act were used and commitments made in the strategies which have developed from the act were completed in full then our communities would be a lot different.

My aim in life now while looking for work is to get a complete review of the strategies which are in place but are being allowed to fail to many people and end needless suffering.

If anyone reads this and is having their life ruined by anti-social behaviour PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE seek help. There are tools in place to help you. If people refuse to use them go to the level above them or direct to your MP.

If the MP does nothing contact you local media and get them to ask why.
